The policy applies to the site only; it does not describe cookies set by unrelated third-party sites you may reach through a link.
Read this page before you decide how you want the site to behave in your browser. It covers four cookie categories, the ones this site does not use, the controls every major browser gives you, and what to do if a third-party embed adds a cookie we did not plan for.
Definition
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. It lets the site remember something about your visit, such as whether you have already seen a notice or which page you came from. Cookies are not programs and they do not run on your device; they are notes the site reads back on a later request.
A cookie is tied to the domain that set it. You can see the full list at any time from your browser's site-data panel, where each entry shows the name, the domain and the expiry the site asked for. Where a cookie stores a preference, the value is normally a short text string; where it stores a session marker, the value is a random identifier that carries no personal detail by itself.
Many cookies are deleted when you close the tab (session cookies). Others stay for a set time (persistent cookies) so the site can recognise the same browser on a return visit. Neither is a tracker by itself, and neither is used here to follow you across websites you visit later.
Categories in use
Four categories, and what each one does
Every cookie this site sets falls into one of the categories below. Two of them are switched on by default because the site cannot function without them; the other two are optional and are described here so you can see the full picture.
Strictly necessary
Needed for the site to function. They may remember, for example, that a form has been submitted so you are not prompted twice, or they may support load balancing so the site serves pages reliably. Blocking them in your browser may break parts of the site.
Always on
Analytics
Where analytics are in use, they help us understand which pages people read and how they reach them, so we can fix pages that are not working. The information is aggregated rather than tied to an individual visitor in our reports. Analytics are not used to build advertising profiles. If we do not have analytics running, this section still explains the category in case we turn it on.
Optional
Preferences
A preference cookie stores a small choice you made on the site, such as the view you last used or a field you typed into a form, so you do not have to make the same choice again on the next visit. Nothing in a preference cookie is shared outside the site, and clearing it simply resets the setting to its default.
Optional
Advertising
We do not use cookies to serve targeted advertising on this site, and we do not pass cookie data to advertising networks. No advertising cookie is set by pizzadeweyz.rest today. The row is listed so you can see the full set of categories the page would describe if one were ever added.
Not in use
If you would like a specific category switched off for your browser, tell us which one when you call and we will confirm what can be done before you take any action on your own device.
Boundaries
What we do not use cookies for
The list below is short on purpose. It is the promise we can actually keep today, and the one this page will be rewritten to describe differently if a single item on it ever changes.
- 01 We do not use cookies to serve targeted advertising on this site, and we do not pass cookie data to advertising networks.
- 02 We do not run cross-site tracking pixels that follow you to other websites after you leave pizzadeweyz.rest.
- 03 We do not sell or rent cookie data, and we do not combine cookies with any other identifier we hold about a visitor.
- 04 If that ever changes, this page will say so before the change takes effect, and this section will be rewritten to describe exactly what is added.
Your controls
Managing cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you see, block, or delete cookies, usually from a privacy or site-data section in settings. The three moves below cover what most visitors need.
Review
Look at what is stored
Open your browser's privacy or site-data panel and find this domain. Each cookie shows the name, the expiry the site asked for, and the type of value it holds. Nothing is hidden from that list.
Block
Block the categories you do not want
Blocking strictly necessary cookies can break parts of the site. Blocking analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the site, and it will not change what you can order or how the delivery windows are shown.
Clear
Delete the ones you no longer want
You can also browse in a private window, which drops cookies when the window closes. Any cookie you delete is removed from your device; the site will set it again on your next visit if its category is still enabled.
External content
Third-party content
If the site embeds a third-party map, video, or similar content, that provider may set its own cookies when the embed loads. We do not control those cookies and they are not described by this policy. The provider's own cookie notice applies to them.
Where possible, we keep third-party embeds to a minimum so the number of external cookie sources stays small. The delivery map on the site, where one is shown, is loaded from the provider itself and appears only on the page that needs it; the rest of the site stays on our own domain.
If you blocked third-party cookies in your browser, an embed may not load its content. The rest of the page continues to work and any text it would have carried is still reachable from the menu, the contact page, or a phone call to the kitchen.
Changes to this page
Updates to this policy
We review this page when we change what the site loads or when a provider changes its practices. The current version is always on this page and the revision date is shown at the top.
If a change affects what cookies are set, this page will describe the new category before or at the same time as the change goes live. Previous wording is not kept on the page, but you can call the kitchen and we will walk you through what changed since your last visit.

Questions about cookies
Questions about cookies, or about data more generally, can go to the kitchen by phone or through the contact form. The privacy policy page explains how we handle personal data beyond cookies.
If you want to opt out of a specific category, tell us which one and we will confirm whether it can be disabled.
